A re-roof is one of the few projects where the material order, the dumpster, and the crew all have to land on the same two days. Sequencing it well matters as much as the shingle you pick.
Measure in squares, then add for waste
Roofing is sold in squares — 100 square feet of coverage. Get the footprint, apply the pitch factor, and add waste for hips, valleys, and starter. Steeper and more cut-up roofs need more.
Do not skip ventilation
Intake at the soffit and exhaust at the ridge is what keeps the deck dry and the shingles at their rated life. A re-roof is the cheapest time you will ever have to correct an undervented attic.
Stage the delivery
We can rooftop-load shingles so the crew is not carrying bundles up a ladder all morning. Tell us the tear-off day and we will schedule the drop around it.
