What to bring for a framing quote

Prints, elevations, and the handful of details that speed up your estimate.

The difference between a same-week estimate and a two-week back-and-forth is usually four or five details that were missing on the first visit.

The short list

Bring what you have. We can work from a napkin sketch, but the more of this you have on hand, the faster the number comes back.

  • Floor plans with dimensions, plus elevations if you have them
  • Wall height and stud spacing preference
  • Roof pitch and overhang, or a truss layout if one exists
  • Window and door schedule, or at least rough opening sizes
  • Foundation type — slab, crawl, or full basement
  • Your target delivery window

Tell us how you build

Some crews want everything on one drop, some want the shell staged in three. Some prefer studs precut, some cut on site. Telling us up front means the estimate matches the way you actually work.

Talk it through with us

Bring your plans, sketches, or photos to any of our four Central Michigan yards. We will walk the options with you, pull real samples, and put together a material list you can build from. Estimating is free for any project.
